Dear members of the European Commission, I write you briefly my personal message dedicated to commercial breeding of animals for fur. We – my family, friends and colleagues (mostly psychiatrists) – are very glad that you consider prohibition of this cruel and totally pointless torture of animals. Their only fault is that they are beautiful, precious and have pretty fur, but are the fur coats or scarfs really worth it? Europe is again beginning to be strong carrier of humanity values, which is increasingly obvious during global crisis nowadays. We have the horrible experience of holocaust, transports, killing apparatus – and I think we have learnt our lesson and try to be more and more tolerant. But what allows us to do the same to animals? To be definitively and desperately closed in the cage, even if it is bigger, without any intention to protect them by this way, such as animals in zoo or a shelter, just with intention to wait, until those poor creatures are usable for being stripped to the flesh . That is certainly not human. Using horrible doses of growth hormone in order to obtain the most possible amount of fur, that is – or at least was – practiced in some EU contries, is something very close to Mengele´s experiments.
Animals are not automatons, they are not nothing-feeling creatures. Etologists already proved (see e.g. Jaak Panksepp) that at least birds and mammals share the basic affective systems with humans! Nobody speaks about intelligence or mastering the Earth – no, they are not like people (furtunately). But they really feel pain, loneliness, grief, panic, separation, fear, anxiety, horror. It is not disputable, it s neurobiologically proven, if intuitive deduction is not enough.
Please, stop this terrible using animals for satisfying rich people who could really buy some other type of clothes! It s not worth the “animal holocaust in Europe”!

No co bych psal. Mám toho hodně v profilu a ostatní klidně v chatu nebo u pokecu, rande atd... Každopádně, rozhodně nejsem na jednorazový akce, groupy, bezcitný m.d... pokud by se našel JEDEN normální, kamarádství a přátelství schopný, milý kluk/muž, budu raději.
