Profesor ekonomiky na jednej z univerzit vyhlasil, ze nikdy nenechal prepadnut zo skusok ani jedneho studenta, ale nedavno nechal prepadnut celu triedu. Tato trieda trvala na tom, ze socialna teoria by fungovala a ze nikto by tak nebol ani chudobny ani bohaty, ale vsetci rovní. A tak profesor povedal: Ok, urobime si teda pokus v triede ohladne planu. Vsetky znamky z testov sa budu spriemerovavat a kazdy dostane rovnaku znamku ako ktorykolvek iny student, a tak nikto neprepadne ani nikto nebude mat A. (nahradzame tak dolare znamkami ? aby to bolo vsetkym realnejsie a lahsie pochopitelne). Po prvom teste boli znamky spriemerovane a kazdy dostal B (2ku). Studenti, ktori studovali tvrdo, boli nahnevani a studenti, ktori sa pripravovali malo, boli velmi stastni. Ked prisiel druhy test, studenti, ktori sa predtym pripravovali malo, sa teraz pripravili este slabsie a ti, ktori sa predtym svedomite pripravovali, sa rozhodli, ze sa tiez chcu len zviest a tak studovali len malo. Priemerna znamka druheho testu bola 4ka (D). Nikto nebol stastny. Ked sa privalil treti test, priemer bolo F (5ka).
Ako testy pokracovali, znamky sa vobec nelepsili kvoli hastereniu, obvinovaniu sa a nadavaniu si, co viedlo k zlym pocitom a nikto uz nestudoval pre zisk niekoho ineho. Na ich velke prekvapenie, vsetci PREPADLI a profesor dodal, ze socializmus by jednoznacne tiez zlyhal, pretoze ak je odmena velka, usilie uspiet je velke, ale ked vlada vezme vsetky odmeny, nikto sa nepokusi ani nebude chciet uspiet. Neda sa to jednoduchsie vysvetlit.
Volby v roku 2012. Nizsie je 5 viet, ktore su vsetky pouzitelne v tomto experimente:
1. Nemozete dotlacit legislativou chudobnych k prosperite tym, ze
zakonami vytlacite bohatych mimo ich prosperity.
2. Co jedna osoba dostane bez prace, to ina osoba musi odpracovat bez odmeny.
3. Vlada nemoze dat nikomu nieco, co by najprv niekomu inemu nevzala.
4. Nemozete znasobit bohatstvo tym, ze ho rozdelite.
5. Ked polovica ludi zisti, ze nemusi pracovat, pretoze druha polovica sa o nich postara, a ked ta druha polovica zisti, ze pracovat je k nicomu, pretoze niekto iny dostane to, pre co oni makali, tak je to zaciatok konca ktorehokolvek naroda.
